ArroChem Announces Major Plant Upgrades and Expansions

OCTOBER 2, 2024 - Mt. Holly, NC:

ArroChem, a leader in chemical manufacturing and blending services, is excited to announce a series of significant expansions and improvements at its plant, enhancing its production capabilities and operational efficiency. These upgrades, implemented between 2023 and 2024, reflect the company’s ongoing commitment to providing high-quality chemical solutions to its clients across the Southeast and beyond.

Key Plant Upgrades Include:

  1. New DI Water System
ArroChem has installed a state-of-the-art DI Water system using City water, capable of producing over 30,000 gallons per day or 4,400 gallons per hour. The DI water is available for sale in drums and totes, meeting the growing demand for high-quality purified water solutions.
  2. Advanced Homogenizer Installation
The plant now features a new fixed, variable speed homogenizer on a 275-gallon stainless steel tank with a 250-gallon working capacity. This system is ideal for processing viscous liquids or dispersing difficult powders into liquids, ensuring high-quality, consistent blends.
  3. 750-Gallon Blending Tank
ArroChem has added a 750-gallon stainless steel heated and jacketed blending tank, equipped with a variable speed mixer and 50,000 load cells for precision blending. This setup is specifically designed for dispersing solids into solvents, delivering precise and efficient production outcomes.
  4. 1500-Gallon Blending Tank
Expanding its capacity further, ArroChem has installed a new 1,500-gallon stainless steel heated and jacketed blending tank with a variable speed drive, optimized for dispersing solids into solvents and providing greater flexibility in the production of various chemical formulations.
  5. New Heating System for Faster Production
The newly installed heating system is capable of heating multiple tanks simultaneously up to 130°F, significantly reducing production times. This enhancement is particularly effective for products that require faster suspension processes.
  6. High Flow FAF Filtration System
ArroChem’s new high flow FAF filtration system is available for products requiring filtering, enhancing the purity and quality of the final output across a range of chemical solutions.
  7. Upgraded Transfer Lines
The installation of new transfer lines throughout the plant connects the bulk tank farm to various batch tanks, streamlining the movement of materials and ensuring efficient, large-scale production.

Expanded Blending Capacities:

  • Liquid Blending Capacity: ArroChem’s facility now has an expanded capacity for liquid blending (both water and solvent-based) across all batch sizes, with a weekly capacity exceeding 100,000 gallons. This includes production in drums, totes, and bulk quantities.
  • Powder Blending Capacity: The plant is also capable of blending up to 30,000 pounds of powder per week, meeting the needs of clients requiring precision powder blending services.

These advancements position ArroChem as a leading provider of high-capacity blending services, ready to meet the demands of industries ranging from textiles to automotive and personal care.
